1. Swim at your own risk is a work in progress. The Board has a great contact in a Houston-area neighborhood that recently went to SAYOR. We are leaning on their recent experience and Sterling’s experience to gather intel on costs and risks. The deadlines for landscaping and pool contracts have and will continue to take precedence over this decision. We can focus on SAYOR the quicker those two contracts get ironed out. If SAYOR shows itself to be the best decision financially, we are working under the assumption that it will start sometime early in the typical swim season in a trial capacity and have worked that language into our pool RFP.
  2. Summer Work – Lifeguards: If you’re 15 or older and looking for a consistent summer job, lifeguarding may be for you. Must know how to swim, but other than that, it’s a flexible schedule, there’s no cap on hours, it’s an outside environment, and you’ll gain new skills. The Board is currently putting together a list of interested candidates for the 2022 season. Please reach out to be added to the list!
