Pool – Proposals and Access Controls

The Board received two proposals by the due date of 3/4/22. Two is better than one or none, but we were a little frustrated to not have another proposal to compare. That said, we are confident that both of the proposals received would likely have been the final two anyway. The Board and Vendor Qualification Committee will take the next two weeks to review and evaluate and will communicate the findings. Award should take place by the middle to end of the month.
Bennie Lunsford has been working on shoring up the pool security and access before swim season begins. In the last six weeks, the security system was wiped and rebuilt with his expertise (and at no cost to the hood). Additionally, he’s awarded work to a trusted access control vendor who will be fixing the pool gate so that our cards will finally work. With access granted via card only, the Board will be able to better monitor troublemakers and act accordingly.
