Neighborhood Updates
Pool – SAYOR and Lifeguards
Swim at your own risk is a work in progress. The Board has a great contact in a Houston-area neighborhood that recently went to SAYOR. We are leaning on their recent experience and Sterling’s experience to gather intel on costs and risks. The deadlines for landscaping and pool contracts have and will continue to take precedence over this decision. We can focus on SAYOR the quicker those two contracts get ironed out. If SAYOR shows itself to be the best decision financially, we are working...
Pool
A comprehensive RFP was sent on Friday for pool management services for the 2022 season with a due date of 3/4/22. Bennie Lunsford is meeting with security/IT companies to ensure that our access control panel is in working order this season. An AED and new fire extinguisher have been purchased and will be available at the pool this season.
Pool Furniture
Our new pool furniture was delivered and built this week. We have ten new Polywood tables in a teak colorway to replace the worn out real wood tables. Like the new plaster, these tables are durable and should last many, many pool seasons. You’ll be able to check both out during the Super Bowl Tailgate.
Pool Replaster and Retile
AE was out at the event with some tile and plaster options for everybody to review. There was one combination that was a runaway favorite during the event, but we have released a survey via email blast and Facebook so everybody can place their votes! Weather permitting, construction is loosely scheduled to begin the week of Christmas and will complete by the end of January.

Landscaping
The landscaping RFP was complete and will be sent to prospective bidders in the coming week. Bids will be due back at the beginning of March, and a new vendor will be chosen by end of March.
Pool Construction
Construction will begin this Wednesday 1/5/22. Please expect the pavilion area to be a bit cluttered over the next six weeks. Expected completion is 2/16/22.
ARC Guidelines
In December, the Board sent an email and Facebook post asking for feedback on the ARC Guidelines document that was created. Please send any and all comments, no matter how big or small, to HaydenLakesBoard@gmail.com. The document will go to legal shortly, and we want to be sure that the community has buy-in.

Pool Management
a. On introduction from TAE, the Board is working to coordinate an information session with a Houston-area neighborhood that recently went partial swim at your own risk. Among other things, we hope to get good answers on calendar and hours, insurance, risks, and costs.b. In tandem with the swim at your own risk conversation, we are developing a request for proposal to solicit bids from some area commercial pool management companies within the next two weeks. Turn-around on these bids will be...
Pool Furniture
Our Vendor Qualification Committee, including Susan Anweiler and Addison McKee, presented some great options for new tables at the pool, and we have chosen a Polywood product in a teak colorway. Like the pool plaster, this product can last up to and beyond a decade. The furniture order is in the process of being placed and should arrive well before swim season.
